Dr David Blyth

A former successful CEO and current Fellow at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a professional doctorate in transformational leadership and a highly successful teacher of business strategy on MBA programs, David is  able to blend theory and practice, translating insight into outcomes that deliver results.  He has a strong bias to pragmatism and a focus on creating value.  

David brings experience and skills from a diverse and successful career in managerial roles in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, and from consulting across a wide range of small, medium and large enterprises including Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton. 

He also has a deep understanding of management theory and practise, and is a regular speaker to business schools.  He is highly regarded for his ability to inform and facilitate strategic discussions for senior leadership teams, including investment and market analysis. 

David teaches business strategy on the MBA capstone unit at UWA's Business School, where he is an Adjunct Associate Professor, and at Curtin's Graduate School of Business.  He also teaches strategy execution on executive programs for DukeCE (ranked #1 globally for executive education) and is a regular presenter on strategy and execution for business owners and CEO's at TEC (The Executive Connection).

David is a Non Executive Director at ChemCentre and Chairs the Board's Finance & Growth Committee.
